Collectors Alert! Do you collect advertising lighters or unique hard-to-find lighters? Well I’ve never seen another one of these online…or anywhere for that matter. This Vintage Toshiba Motors lighter looks to be 1950s. It appears to be in pretty good shape, especially the all important graphic which is a white starburst on one side with a black graphic of a motor and the name “Toshiba”. On the other side, we similarly have a white starburst with a stylized image of a motor with the name “Toshiba Motors” written in Japanese. There is some rust pitting on the chrome at the top. The striker mechanism works smoothly.
Nice colors and very rare. Toshiba Corporation, a Japanese multinational electronics company based in Tokyo, offered various consumer and business products, including televisions and computers. Formed in 1939 from a merger, it took its current name in 1978.
