These are fairly recent Ralph Lauren shorts from the 2000s.
The waist is a wide 36, but the length and color are nice, making them relatively easy to wear.
I think it's a good item for people who have never tried wearing colors to give it a shot.
As for how to wear them, since the bottoms are wide, I think it's good to wear a more fitted top.
